Just on the outskirts of Haverfordwest set in beautiful open country, with views stretching as far as the Preseli Mountains, Haroldston Farmhouse offers a superb holiday location for groups of up to 12 adults and children. For family reunions, clubs, walking groups or anyone wanting spacious accommodation 15 minutes from beautiful beaches, with wonderful walks right on your doorstep, Haroldston is the place to be.

Upper Haroldston Farmhouse 1"We moved here about five years ago and we were so fortunate to find such a lovely old farmhouse as Haroldston. The old granary which is attached to the main house now forms part of the accommodation which means there's plenty of room for everyone. There are six bedrooms, a lovely large beamed farmhouse kitchen, and two sitting rooms - one's a quiet room and the other has TV, DVD and hi-fi. There's also a games room with a pool table, dartboard, TV and games. And the house has its own secluded garden with built-in barbecue.

And once you're here, there's so much to do. The area is simply steeped in history with beautifully preserved castles and other buildings. Just down the lane is the ruins of the Haroldston Manor - owned by Sir John Perrott who was the half brother of Elizabeth I. It had one of the earliest formal Tudor gardens in the area and must have been magnificent.

Upper Haroldston Farm 2We really pride ourselves on the amount and quality of information we provide visitors with. And we arrange it by topics - places of interest, eating out, walking, etc, so it's easy to find what you want. We've also put together our own guide of favourite walks in the area - there's one that follows the western arm of the beautiful Cleddau River just a short stroll away. Believe me, your dog, if you have one, will love it here! And we're sure so will you. Pembrokeshire is quite magical in every way. The coast is among the best in the world. Such stunning scenery and such friendly people too. It has it all.

And when you have such a wonderful environment as this, it's so important to look after it, which is why we're doing our bit with better insulation, energy efficient boilers and bulbs and providing recycling facilities for guests.

We have groups her all year round. Three's one extended family who always come down for Guy Fawkes night, so we build a big bonfire for them ready. Others come for Christmas and New Year and have a great time with Murder Mystery dinners and the like - being in an old farmhouse like Haroldston creates just the right atmospheres for that! It's good that more and more people are realising that Pembrokeshire is a beautiful county all year round, not just in the summer months. You should try it 'out of season' yourself!"
