John and Sue Jones run this friendly B&B on the A40 two miles outside Fishguard. From the pot of tea and Welsh cakes which greet you on arrival, you'll be treated like part of the family throughout the length of your stay. For many people that means several days exploring the beauty and delights of the Preseli Mountains, the coastal path and the fascinating history of nearby Fishguard and the North Pembrokeshire coast. John can provide a wealth of information about all there is to see and do, whether walking, cycling, visiting places or enjoying a meal out.
"Dwrbach Cottage was originally two farmhouse cottages, solidly built in local slate. Now we've made it into a really comfortable B&B for our many guests. And we must be doing something right, judging by all the repeat bookings we get. In fact, one couple came four times one year!
I like to think our guests enjoy the relaxed atmosphere we provide as well as enjoying the wonderful combination of relaxation and invigoration that Pembrokeshire offers. That's certainly what attracted Sue and me to the area. You can enjoy a real sense of calmness, in places such as the 6th century Llanstinan church just up the road, and walk over the nearby bridge which has been in existence since prehistoric times. Or you could blow the cobwebs away on a bracing walk along the Coast Path or over the Preselis.There are so many fascinating things to see and do. Just sitting in our garden, I think you'll be amazed at the number of birds we get here. And you won't have to go far to find lots of wonderful places to enjoy. Sue and I have been here for years and we've only just begun to scratch the surface of all that Pembrokeshire offers. We'll certainly set you up for the day with a real hearty breakfast, using home grown and local produce. One thing you can be sure of, you'll have a really great break."
