Gors Fawr Stone Circle
The 16 stones that form the Gors Fawr circle are located in a splendidly atmospheric setting on moorland close to the village of Mynachlog-ddu in the foothills of the Preseli Mountains.
The site is believed to date from the late third to the second millenium BC. Antiquarian reports suggest that there was once a ceremonial path or 'avenue' leading to the two taller stones that can be found approximately 134 metres to the north-north-east. Gors Fawr is a charming site and is designated as a Scheduled Ancient Monument.
