Cerrig Meibion Arthur Standing Stone Pair

Cerrig Meibion Arthur (The Stones of Arthur’s Sons’) is the name given to this pair of Bronze Age standing stones.

The site has been designated a Scheduled Ancient Monument. According to the Mabinogion the stones mark the site where the sons of the legendary king Arthur were slain by the Twrch Trwyth, a wild boar from Ireland. The surrounding landscape contains many features that have names associated with Arthurian legend.
