Whitesands Bay
SM 732270 On the Whitesands road, at Emlych Farm, is a small memorial.
This was unveiled in 1995 on the 50th anniversary of the crash of a Liberator bomber with the loss of its four crew. The memorial was organised by the Pembrokeshire Aviation Group.
At Whitesands Bay itself is a single propellor blade, placed here in memory of the crew of an United States Army Air Force Marauder bomber which crashed on Carn Llidi in 1943.
The remains of a beach defence machine gun emplacement can be seen on the low headland of Trwynhwrddin to the north of the bay.
