Eglwyswrw
a07b05b6b3521b376aa85a71d7c6b439 Add Item to BackpackEglwyswrw village is strategically sited on the turnpike road from Cardigan to Newport and Haverfordwest.
It was formerly noted for its ancient coaching inn, the Sergeants Arms, where the petty sessions was held. The community includes a large area of the northern slopes of the Preseli Hills.
Bwlch-gwynt
(SN 079321) This was the site of a searchlight battery, high on the moorland slopes, of which little or no trace now remains.
Garnwen
(SN 114349) The moorland here formed part of the wartime tank range which extended across much of the Preselis. Tank tracks have been noted on the slopes of Waun Brwynant as far south as Hafod-Tydfil.
Brynberian Bridge
(SN 104350) Located here was a small complex of workshops and garages built in connection with the above tank range.

- CARNALW I
- Carnalw is a defended enclosure with a chevaux-de-frise occupying a Rhyolite outcrop on the northern slopes of the Preseli Mountains at 260m above sea level. KM 2006 Back to map
- WAUN MAWN
- A fine tall symmetrical standing stone measuring 2m high x 0.9m at its base x 1.2m wide across the middle and tapering to a rough point at the top. This stone is scheduled along with those making up PRN 1567 which lie some 360m away to the ENE. RSR 2 Back to map

- A pair of standing stones comprising two nearly equally sized stones standing about 1m apart and both leaning to the north. The more easterly of the two stones is 1.3m tall x 1.03m at its base x 0.35m thick with its long axis aligned on a bearing of Back to map

- An upright stone standing at the edge of the main road crossing the Preseli Hills between Foel Eryr and Foel Cwmcerwyn. The stone measures 1.57m high x 1.3m wide at its base tapering to 0.54m wide at the top x 0.62m thick at its base tapering to 0.2m Back to map
