St John's Church

Built in 1859 St. John's is a relatively young church. The burial ground surrounding the church was donated by Mr. J.C.H. Poyer-Callen.

It was originally a perpetual curacy assigned out of the parish of Narberth to Ludchurch in 1863. The church is thought to be situated on the site of a medieval hospice built by The Knights Templars, however there is no historical evidence to support this theory. The Church Hall was built in the 1890's on land donated by Henllan Estate, with all the stone being quarried from a field opposite the church.
