St Govan's Chapel
St. Govan's Chapel, a mile west of the village, bears the name of a contemporary of St. David, the patron saint of Wales (6th century).
St Govan's Chapel
Gobhan/Gobban/Govan was an Irish Christian who, according to tradition, found refuge from pirates in the cleft which opened miraculously in the rock. Here he spent the rest of his life. The present chapel is of the Middle Ages (Medieval period).
