Bethel Chapel

This Congregational Chapel was built in 1858.

Bethel chapelA former Chapel built near the mill in 1804, was subsequently used as a Sunday School, and is now a private dwelling. In 1972 the Chapel joined the United Reformed Church (an amalgamation of Congregationalists and English Presbyterians) and in 1979 was grouped with four other local chapels. It closed in 1988.
