About Us

The Experience Pembrokeshire web portal has been created by PLANED (Pembrokeshire Local Action Network for Enterprise and Development) to support and encourage the development of sustainable tourism.

This web portal project has been developed in partnership with the Countryside Council for Wales (CCW), the Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales, the Dyfed Archaeological Trust,  the National Trust, Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, Cadw, Pembrokeshire County Council and the Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Wales.

The emphasis and focus of Experience Pembrokeshire is on the natural and heritage assets of the County.  The purpose of the web portal is to make accessing information about heritage and natural resources easier, with the portal being the single gateway to specialist information held on the partners' websites.

The aim of Experience Pembrokeshire is to:

  • Improve the availability of information about heritage and nature sites for recreational enjoyment
  • Improve access to a wider variety of sites of nature and heritage interest
  • Encourage the understanding and support for important habitats, species and conservation
  • Foster an appreciation of Pembrokeshire “through the seasons” and an enthusiasm for the environment in general.
